Accommodation

We try to house students in university accommodation and will provide housing support to all incoming students.

You'll have your own study bedroom, with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and storage. You won’t need to buy any additional furniture.

University accommodation is generally self-catered (we don't offer meal plans). And, like other UK universities, we house all of our study abroad students together, so you will be integrated with UK, European and international students.

If you’re coming to Cardiff for one semester, you can apply for your preferred room type (for example ensuite vs. shared bathroom). If you’re coming for the full academic year, you can also apply for your preferred residence hall on campus. We will send you more information about reserving accommodation after you apply.

Induction and orientation

At the start of the autumn semester, we provide an induction programme to new international students. There are sessions specifically for study abroad students and a range of social events to get involved in. We also run an induction programme for those students studying with us in the spring semester.
