Career support for international students

Our Student Futures team offers specialised career support to international students and can help you prepare for life after university.

We understand that employability is a priority for our international students. However, job searching and understanding visas can be challenging.

We have tailored employability resources to aid your job search and offer reputable links to organisations that can provide visa advice, on top of the suite of resources offered by Student Futures.

How we can help you

Student Futures can offer a careers appointment at the start of your course which includes information on job searching, tailoring your CV and application, practicing psychometric tests, and mock interviews.

The team can support you in gaining a range of work experience opportunities that will help make your job applications more competitive. You can also get recognised for all your employability work by completing our Cardiff Award certificate.

We can recommend employer events and careers fairs that will help you build your network and career awareness and the Global Opportunities team provide the chance for students to study, work or volunteer abroad and discover new cultures.

We also offer support to start your own business and bring your ideas to life.
