We are asking if it’s possible to mitigate climate impacts by using science and engineering.

We are developing nature-based solutions and driving changes in societal behaviour, government policies, and local regulations to make our natural and built environment more resilient to future changes, maximise the impact of technological solutions, and to mitigate the damage already sustained.

Many of the consequences of climate change are already with us and some industry sectors are difficult to decarbonise. Will it be possible to mitigate climate impacts by using science and engineering, such as carbon dioxide capture and storage/utilisation? How can we help the natural and built environment be more resilient and find nature-based solutions to climate change? How can we change behaviours and policy to ease the load on technological solutions?
