The Music Library's primary purpose is supporting the University's School of Music, through a comprehensive collection of scholarly music scores, books and journals, as well as thousands of music CDs. It also provides research resources for staff and students in the University's Continuing and Professional Education department, staff and students in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, as well as members of the wider community.
The Music Library is located in the Library Wing of Aberdare Hall, behind the Music building.
The primary access route is through a driveway that runs between the main Aberdare Hall building and the School of Music concert foyer (The Octagon). The library wing is behind two sets of wrought iron gates, and on the right side of the secured Aberdare Hall courtyard.
- disabled parking spaces are available at the Redwood Building across the road from Aberdare Hall
- accessible toilets are available in the Redwood Building and on the ground floor of the Music Building
- staff are happy to retrieve books from the shelves if required; please ask for assistance
