Wales Active TraveL ReseArch ConSortium (ATLAS)

Our consortiums diverse expertise, in partnership with our steering group, enables us to deliver a programme of research to support the modal shift towards active travel in Wales. Active travel refers to making journeys in physically active ways, such as walking, wheeling, cycling or scootering and is at the heart of Welsh Government policies and legislations, such as The Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act (2015).

This project will enable the consortium, which comprises seven researchers from across six universities in Wales, to come together to facilitate diverse discussions, enabling us to develop novel research questions that will provide evidence-based solutions through a programme of research.
