Entry requirements for Chile
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we want to ensure the welfare of our staff and students. Our staff won't be able to attend international exhibitions or events at this time but you can still get in touch.
Entry onto our courses will depend on the qualifications you have been awarded in Chile and your English language ability.
If you have graduated from the national high school system, you may be required to successfully complete an International Foundation Year before entering our undergraduate courses.
For entry to our undergraduate programmes, you will need to successfully complete an acceptable international foundation programme or have good A-Levels or International Baccalaureate grades or successfully complete years 1 or 2 of a bachelor's degree at a recognised University in Chile.
Postgraduate taught courses
You will need to have completed either the Grado de Bachiller, Grado de Licenciado, or Titulo (Profesional) de [subject area] with a final GPA grade of at least 5/7 or 60%.
Postgraduate research courses
There are a number of possible entry routes to our postgraduate research courses. We will consider applicants who have successfully completed a master's from a recognised institution.
In some cases, applicants may be required to complete a Master's course at Cardiff University prior to embarking upon PhD studies.
