The 2016 National Student Survey (NSS) published this week found that 90% of our final-year undergraduate students were satisfied with their overall experience at the School of Social Sciences.

Published annually, the NSS asks undergraduates to rate their University experience in areas including teaching, academic support and personal development.

Dr Robert Evans, Director of Teaching and Learning for the School of Social Sciences, said: “I’m pleased to see that our overall satisfaction rating remains high as we work hard to provide an excellent student experience. We are proud of the level of student engagement within the School, particularly our committed student representatives who help us ensure that students can make the most of their time here.”

The School of Social Sciences was rated highly in a range of areas, including the following:

  • Staff are good at explaining things (96% agreed)
  • The library resources and services are good enough for my needs (92%)
  • I have been able to access general IT resources when I needed to (92%)

The results also show continued satisfaction with Cardiff University Students’ Union (87%) cementing its place as one of the very best in the UK.
