Take part in our lens trial and get a free pair of spectacles

Cardiff University’s School of Optometry and Vision Sciences are looking for volunteers to take part in a new spectacle lens trial in association with the world leader in ophthalmic solutions – Essilor International. All volunteers who take part in the trial will be eligible for a free pair of spectacles from our Eye Clinic.*
The trial will involve patients wearing a frame with three different types of lenses, each for a period of around two weeks, and providing questionnaire responses as to how they felt the lenses performed. Participants have to be over the age of eighteen, be a regular driver who wear glasses to drive, and at the end of the study, volunteers get to keep their favoured pair of lenses and a standard frame for no cost.
Lens trial prerequisites
- Over 18 years old
- A regular motor vehicle driver who wears glasses to drive
- Have an up to date prescription (one can be provided if you haven’t got one)
- Able to visit our eye clinic five times during the trial (there will be five lenses to trial and each lens will be trialled for a period of 2 weeks).
- Available to take part in February 2018.
