‘Environmental Ethics’: Writing a Very Short Introduction by Professor Emeritus Robin Attfield

This is the story of the composition, at the invitation of Oxford University Press, of ‘Environmental Ethics: A Very Short Introduction’, how it nearly didn’t happen, how colleagues in PLACE and a visiting speaker aided the process, how illustrations were chosen, and (in very short compass indeed) what this new book says, with special reference to issues of climate change and to the attitude of Islam to environmental destruction in the form of blast-fishing.

The official publication date is 13th December 2018, but some reduced rate copies (@ £5) and plenty of flyers will be available. So this is a sneak preview, and a bit of a book launch at the same time, together with remarks on topical issues and plenty of opportunity to question the author.
