Chinese language courses

We offer a range of Chinese language courses suitable for beginners right the way through to advanced learners.

You can access our existing courses as an adult learner, as a Cardiff University student or as a local school in Wales, or you can get in touch with us to discuss your bespoke learning requirements.

We offer a wide range of Mandarin Chinese language courses specifically designed for members of the public and timetabled in the evening. There are up to four intakes each year, depending on the level of your course, starting in October, January, April and June. Courses are delivered through weekly two-hour classes, usually over 12 weeks.

Our Chinese adult learner courses are available through Lifelong Learning.

Studying the Chinese language is free to all undergraduate and postgraduate students at Cardiff University. Our Chinese language courses are available through the Languages for All programme.

We offer a wide range of courses in schools, which are designed to introduce Chinese at a beginners level. We also provide training opportunities and language tuition to teachers who are looking to introduce Mandarin to their school.
