Multi-modal studies to understand pregnancy and prevent stillbirth

This project addresses the urgent need for better ways to assess gestational development in utero – every 16 seconds, a baby is stillborn.

It introduces new MRI techniques for imaging the placenta, aiming to improve our understanding of the link between placental health and stillbirth.

These techniques have the potential to enhance the diagnosis and prognosis of pregnancy complications and support clinicians in making more informed decisions.
