Building international languages in Welsh primary schools
Under the new curriculum in Wales, all primary schools must deliver international languages from Year 5.
This will be a big step-change for teachers, who may not have expertise or confidence in teaching international languages.
This project supports teachers across Wales by producing a free web toolkit of teaching resources including thematic modules and a pedagogical guide on how to deliver them in line with the new curriculum.
The project team will work with regional educational consortia across Wales, pilot schools and Routes into Languages hubs based in Cardiff University and Bangor University.
