Play is a vital ingredient for happy and healthy childhoods.
Children’s opportunities to play with other children are vital to their recovery following a long period of uncertainty, worry and confusion caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This project partners with schools in South Wales and the national charity for children’s play, Play Wales, to raise awareness of humour as an important part of play and wellbeing in childhood.
The project will work with children and education professionals to co-design a booklet about the importance and benefits of humour in play for the Play Wales website and develop Giggle Games to support humour in play in Foundation Phase settings.
