Outreach and engagement

Our research and activities stretch beyond the University – engaging with communities (local, national and international), organisations, charities, institutions and global debates.

Across our 5 departments, our outreach and engagement activities are centred around:

  • Strong partnerships with schools and colleges;
  • Collaboration with community groups, charities, cultural organisations and public bodies;
  • A commitment to widening participation and lifelong learning;
  • Opportunities for the public to engage directly with research and expertise;
  • Activity that connects academic activity to real-world social, cultural and educational impact.
