Cross-national comparative study of recovery-focused mental health care planning and coordination
CI: Simpson (City), Hannigan (SONMS), Jones (SONMS), Coffey (Swansea) and Faulkner.
We are undertaking a cross-national comparative study of recovery-focused mental health care planning and coordination. We are looking closely at the day-to-day work of six mental health teams (four in England, two in Wales) in order to find out what is really going on care planning and coordination. The information gathered will be shared with people in a position to improve the planning and delivery of care to people with mental health problems. To enable this we will collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data including interviews, questionnaires, official data and care plans. Mental health service users and carers are closely involved in the research, including providing guidance as experienced project advisors, being employed as service user research assistants and taking direct part as study participants.
