Post-Registration and Postgraduate Studies
The School offers several programmes for registered nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals who would like to continue their education. The broad-ranging student mixture enriches the learning and social experience of all our students.
The BSc (Hons) / Graduate Diploma in Clinical Practice offered by Cardiff University allows students to access a range of degree level modules in healthcare. Students will be able to exit with a Higher Education Diploma in Clinical Practice, or a BSc (Hons)/Graduate Diploma in Clinical Practice, depending upon the number of credits accumulated.
This programme is designed to prepare practitioners for working in a complex and dynamic community setting. On successful completion, this programme leads to the award of the BSc (Hons) in Community Health Studies, and the NMC-recordable Specialist Practitioner qualification in District Nursing or Practice Nursing.
This flexible programme has been designed to prepare and develop post registration nurses for diverse and complex roles within the community. It is aimed at nurses who currently work in a community environment and nurses whose role may move from acute to community settings in the future.
