Remit: 

Acute Inpatient Mental Health

Clients: 

Working age adults

Key Learning Opportunities: 

  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating of care of patients with acute mental health problems
  • Multi disciplinary working
  • CPA / Unified Assessment
  • Recovery approach
  • Working with clients with dual diagnosis.
  • The ward’s catchment area includes a large multicultural population.
  • ECT
  • Knowledge and practical application of the MHA 2007.

Preparation for Practice:

Can be utilised for module 1, module 4, module 6 and management placement.

Shifts:

  • 0700 - 1430
  • 1300 - 2030
  • 2000 - 0720

Dress Code: 

No uniform, smart casual wear
