Research Interests

My research interests lie predominantly with pre-registration nurse education and I am currently writing up my thesis for a Master of Philosophy degree aimed at identifying the factors that influence student attendance during the theoretical component of the FfP curriculum. I co-manage the post-registration perioperative module within the BSc (Hons) Clinical Practice award so I consciously chose to develop one of my other research interests within the operating theatre as a means of keeping in touch with current developments in perioperative practice. This also serves to maintain a modicum of clinical credibility and influence my teaching of surgical subjects.
