Research Interests
My main area of interest is respiratory function and dysfunction. My PhD research integrates this interest with management of chronic disease in a study of respiratory function in Huntington’s Disease. This area of interest is reflected in my undergraduate teaching which focuses on exercise as well as physiotherapy management of respiratory problems. My teaching areas are respiratory physiology and pathology, research methods and data analysis.
My other area of interest is assessment of students and I was seconded within the University as the Change Champion: Assessment for 3 years. The key tasks within this role were the development of the Cardiff University Assessment Strategy and support for the implementation of the strategy at School level. Part of this role involved the development of an e-module for academic staff on effective feedback to students.
