The Degree Programme
In studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Cardiff, you will be at the centre of a vibrant and fast moving engineering discipline. This research led degree scheme will provide a fast-track towards attaining Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology. In addition, the strong links we have with our industrial partners can provide opportunities for work placements and possible sponsorship during your study.
The Power Academy
On top of this, Cardiff is one of only three universities in the UK to be part of The Power Academy and the UK Electronic Skills Foundation, organisations dedicated to promoting and supporting high quality students to train for a career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. UK ESF and Power Academy scholarships are offered on a competitive basis and successful applicants will receive support for tuition fees, student bursaries, vocational training and improved career prospects.
State-of- the-Art Facilities
The teaching of our degree programmes has recently received major investment in the provision of state of the art teaching laboratories, enabling students to experience the latest in industrial standard test equipment and software.
Career Prospects
Students graduating from Cardiff in Electrical and Electronic Engineering have excellent career prospects. The School has strong links with all the major employers in this area and well qualified graduates are much in demand.

For the BEng ABB (320 points) at A-level including Mathematics are required (or AB at A level including Mathematics plus Welsh Baccalaureate)
