Teaching Profile

Undergraduate Teaching

BDS & BSc Dental Intercalated

  • Lecture to Year 2 BDS on oral biology/biochemistry, including (i) bone biology, & (ii) osseointegration.

BSc Biosciences

  • Lecture to Year 3 BSc (Honours) Undergraduates in the School of Biosciences, as part of the “Tissue Engineering/Tissue Regeneration” Module, on (i) tissue engineering & repair in skin pathology.

Postgraduate Teaching

MSc Programme in Tissue Engineering

  • Programme Director & Member of the Learning & Teaching Committee, for the CITER taught MSc Programme in Tissue Engineering.
  • Provide lectures & tutorials on (i) the modelling of cell-extracellular matrix interactions in vitro, & (ii) large-scale tissue/organ engineering in vitro, as part of the Programme.
  • Lead Supervisor of Student laboratory-based, research projects.

MSc Programmes in Implantology

  • Lead Supervisor of Student laboratory-based, research projects.
  • Lecture on (i) bone biology/biochemistry, & (ii) the biological mechanisms of osseointegration, as part of the Programmes.
  • Also lecture on these topics as part of the 10-month, Implant “Stepwise” Osseointegration Courses, run by the School of Dentistry.
