Economics Section

The Economics section of the School has over 40 faculty (including 16 professors) whose research interests include: macroeconomics, finance, econometrics, labour, trade, regional and industrial economics, and economic and business history. They are involved with a number of Business School institutes and centres, including the Macroeconomics and Econometrics Group, which incorporates the Julian Hodge Institute of Applied Macroeconomics, and the International Business Economics and Labour Economics Research Group.

The research activity of members of the section has resulted in publications in a wide range of economics and economic/business history journals, including the American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Economica, Review of Economics and Statistics, Applied Economics, Labour Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Economics Letters, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of European Economic History, Business History, and Accounting, Business and Financial History.
