Cardiff Business School recognised at Celebrating Excellence Awards 2025

Cardiff Business School is celebrating success across multiple categories at the University’s Celebrating Excellence Awards 2025, held on April 30 at the Great Hall in the Students’ Union.
Dr Jane Haider, Reader and Deputy Head of the Logistics and Operations Management (LOM) Section, was named a finalist in the Co-creation and Participative Leadership Award category. The recognition reflects her commitment to inclusive leadership and collaborative working, which has delivered significant impact across teaching, engagement and recruitment.
Through close partnership with colleagues, Dr Haider has led a notable turnaround in postgraduate recruitment. Her work has involved co-creating targeted marketing and outreach strategies, alongside developing strong relationships with international partners.
This approach has not only strengthened global links but also enhanced the student experience by fostering a culture of shared ownership, innovation and academic empowerment.
Commenting on the recognition, Dr Haider said:
I feel incredibly fortunate to work with such supportive colleagues, students, alumni and external partners across Cardiff Business School and beyond. This recognition reflects the power of collaboration and the many initiatives we have developed together, from strengthening industry engagement and international partnerships, to supporting innovative teaching and creating new opportunities for our students.
The awards ceremony brought together colleagues from across the University to celebrate outstanding achievements in teaching, leadership, research and professional services.
Senior representatives from the Business School were also in attendance, including Professor Vasco Sánchez Rodrigues, Head of the Logistics and Operations Management Section, Professor Tim Edwards, Dean and Head of Cardiff Business School, and Professor Rachel Ashworth, Professor in Public Services Management and former Dean.
The recognition highlights the breadth and depth of excellence within Cardiff Business School, demonstrating continued commitment to impactful research, collaborative practice and transformative academic leadership.
