Economics
The Economics section of Cardiff Business School is responsible for the teaching and research in economics at Cardiff University. It has staff whose research interests include: macroeconomics, finance, econometrics, labour, trade, regional, industrial, and business history.
Research, dissemination and policy
The section contains a number of Cardiff University institutes and centres, including:
- The Julian Hodge Institute of Applied Macroeconomics
- The Welsh Institute for Research in Economics and Development (and within it the Welsh Economy Research Unit)
- The Accounting and Business History Research Unit
- The Centre for Automotive Industry Research
- The Leadership, Enterprise and Economic Development (LEED) Unit
- The Observatory of Innovation
A variety of courses are available at undergraduate and postgraduate level, together with a PhD programme.
