Dr. Isabelle Durance, AE, PhD. (formerly Isabelle Poudevigne)

Overview

Working as part of the Individuals, Ecosystems and Global Change  research group led by Prof Steve Ormerod

my current research focuses on:

  1. the application of landscape ecology to biodiversity conservation
  2. detecting and modelling the consequences of climate change for river ecosystems.
  3. modelling the relationship between land use changes, climate change and major ecosystem services like water quality

Funded by a Leverhulme fellowship, my research involves the analysis of large scale, long term patterns in species distribution and environmental character, often drawing on large-scale ecosystem experiments.
