Develop your skills, deepen your understanding and enhance your career prospects with our postgraduate programmes.

Big Data Biology (MSc)

From microbiomes, phenomes and genomes to whole ecosystems, biologists are capturing ever bigger and more complex data sets. Enhance your employability by learning how to harvest, model and interpret big data - skills in demand by academia, government and industry.

The unique, holistic approach of our new, innovative MSc Big Data Biology will enable you to use cutting-edge, big data platforms to tackle issues from developmental biology to disease surveillance and ecology.

Directly aligned to current technology, from genome sequencing to bio-imaging, our MSc covers core areas such as systems biology, bioinformatics, statistics and ‘omics’ approaches. With a focus on hands-on interdisciplinary training, you will learn how to gather big data and model it for analysis at different biological scales - from molecules to ecosystems.
