The Energy and Environmental Prediction (EEP) Model

CRiBE's Energy and Environmental Prediction (EEP) model is a computer based Geographical Information System (GIS) modelling framework that quantifies energy use, environmental factors and the impact of the built environment on public health for cities. The EEP model has been designed to be transferable to other cities worldwide. It was initially developed in Cardiff (Wales) and applied to Camden (England), Leicester (England), Belfast (Northern Ireland), Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (Wales) and Newcastle (Australia). The EEP model has been applied to the whole of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council's building stock, which led to further work to promote energy efficiency to owner occupiers.
