Cardiff academic joins international jury for major architectural awards in China

Dr Federico Wulff, Associate Professor (Reader) at the Welsh School of Architecture, has recently been appointed as an international jury member for the prestigious 11th edition of the CREDAWARD Architectural Professional Awards 2025 in Shanghai, China.

The CREDAWARD Professional Architectural Awards are widely regarded as among the most prestigious architectural professional awards in China. They aim to lead future urban development and promote sustainable social development globally, adhering to excellence in architecture, urban, and landscape architecture quality, environmental innovation, user experience, and social impact.

The CREDAWARD Professional Awards invites leading global academic and professional experts to serve on its panel of international jury members. Dr Wulff's appointment showcases the strength of our international partnerships with built-environment professionals and academics, particularly within the construction industry in China, where we have an established record of collaboration with higher education institutions.

As the international jury member appointed for the Landscape Architectural Awards, he reviewed 45 shortlisted projects and selected the top ten for the Golden and Silver CREDAWARD Professional Awards.

Over the years, CREDAWARD has evolved into a global platform, attracting participation from more than 35 countries and regions, with over 10,000 outstanding project entries. Participants include both Chinese and international design agencies, all demonstrating excellence in innovation and design.

For its 11th edition, CREDAWARD 2025 received 1,042 submissions from 295 leading international organisations across Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Monaco, Morocco, the Netherlands, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam.
