Visitor parking
We encourage all members of our community, including visitors, to choose sustainable travel options when coming to the University.
We do recognise this isn't always possible, and some visitors will need to travel to campus by car or other motorised vehicle. We encourage the use of electric or hybrid vehicles for such journeys whenever possible.
Our car parks are managed using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera technology or foot patrols.
Off-peak public parking
Please note that 'pay-as-you go' and off-peak public parking is not available on Open Days.
Certain car parks are available for use by visitors and the public during off-peak hours (16:00-07:00) Monday to Friday and all-day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
The following car parks are available for this purpose:
| Car park | Postcode | Available spaces |

| Bute and Glamorgan | CF10 3NB | 175 |
| Column Drive | CF10 3EU | 223 |

Tariff boards in the parking area where public parking is provided display a RingGo location code for public use. Users are able to pay for parking using the RingGo app, website or RingGo pay by phone service.
Accessible parking
Visitors who are Blue Badge holders are required to provide their registration number to the Travel, Transport and Parking Services Team by emailing carparking@cardiff.ac.uk no later than 24 hours after their arrival.
Those with a Blue Badge are eligible to park in an accessible parking bay or a general parking bay, free of charge, subject to a valid Blue Badge being clearly displayed in the vehicle windscreen.
Accessible parking bays are identifiable by yellow markings and clearly signed ‘Blue Badge parking only’.
If you are a blue badge holder attending one of our open days and would like to reserve a parking space, email openday@cardiff.ac.uk with your vehicle registration number, name, contact number and the date of your visit.
Pick up/drop off
There are pick up/drop off bays and zones across campus. These can be used by anyone for a maximum stay of up to 30 minutes.
There is no charge for use.
Pick up/drop off bays and zones are identifiable by orange markings and clearly signed ‘pick up and drop off only’.
