Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Courses and workshops for learning and teaching staff

The Cardiff Learning and Teaching Academy host a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities throughout the academic year open to all staff, including those supporting online and blended learning.

This is the third successful year of the CPD programme, with over 800 registrations across 2022/23. The sessions are led by staff with broad pedagogical expertise and will be practice focussed and enhancement led.

These workshops are framed around key themes and principles embedded in the new education development toolkit, launched soon. The themes are:

  • inclusivity
  • sustainability
  • engaging learning experiences
  • excellence in teaching
  • partnership and co-creation
  • effective learning environments
  • assessment for learning

Our CPD programme complements our Advance HE accredited Education Fellowships Programme and our online and asynchronous resources and all workshops are mapped to the UK Professional Standards Framework (UK PSF).

All workshops are bookable on the HR System portal.
