Ocular Diseases

  • CalendarAvailable on request
  • Clock outlineFlexible

This activity shows the effects of living with different eye conditions.

Students are shown a variety of special simulation glasses that simulate eye diseases and visual impairments. Each pair of glasses reflects a different eye disease or impairment, like glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, to name a few.

The student can therefore experience first-hand the impact these common conditions have on sight.

Students are also informed on what scientists are doing to combat these diseases.
