Entry requirements for Taiwan
Our entry requirements will vary depending on your level of study, the course you are interested in and your English language proficiency.
If you have graduated from the national high school system, you will be required to successfully complete a one year International Foundation Programme before entering our undergraduate courses.
You will be required to successfully complete the Senior High School Leaving Certificate with an overall average of B and at least B in key subject areas to be considered for admission on to our International Foundation Programme.
Some subjects, such as healthcare allied professions, will require higher grades. Please contact the Foundation Office for more information.
We will consider students who either have the GCE A-level qualifications or the International Baccalaureate (IB) for entry on to undergraduate courses.
If you hold the Senior High School Diploma with an average mark of 75%, and have completed a suitable foundation programme, you will be considered for admission to an undergraduate course.
If you have a Junior College Diploma, you will also be considered for entry to the first or second year of our undergraduate courses. Your previous academic performance and work experience will be taken into account by the admissions tutors.
Postgraduate taught courses
You will be required to have a good bachelor's degree (at a minimum of 70% or minimum GPA of 3.0) from a recognised institution, to be considered for postgraduate study at master's level.
Postgraduate research courses
You will be considered for PhD study if you have a good master's degree from a recognised institution.
If you have completed a four year undergraduate degree (at a minimum of 70% or minimum GPA of 3.0), you may also be considered for entry to our postgraduate courses.
A relevant English language qualification is also required — normally a minimum of 6.5 IELTS, however, this may vary from course to course.
