Why did you choose Cardiff University?

I chose Cardiff University because it offered me a dual course. I can study my two favourite subject areas while getting to enjoy living in an affordable student-friendly city.

What advice would you give to someone looking to apply for university?

Do your research and Google everything! There are lots of helpful resources out there to help you with your application. It's also really important to trust your gut and write your personal statement in a way that makes you happy.

What are you enjoying most about your course?

In my course, all that is expected of you is to be creative and critical. The essays are all critical-based and encourage daily reading and examining.

The lecturers are passionate and helpful to the extent that surprise me every time. The course is helping me develop the necessary skills to excel in the working world.

What's the best thing about living in Cardiff?

Cardiff as a city is very pretty yet quiet. I like how accessible the city is. You can travel and explore the best of the city's restaurants, cafes, and shops on foot. You can also cycle everywhere and I always use the OVOBike scheme - Cardiff University students get 30 minutes free hire every time they use a bike!

The city's green spaces are also really special, particularly the bank of the River Taff. The tranquillity that I feel in that place is unmatched, coupled with the beautiful Bute Park and amazing sunsets.

You can read more about my experiences at Cardiff University's Student Bloggers.

What would be your best advice for prospective students thinking about coming to Cardiff?

Make sure you open a UK bank account on the very first day. Work hard and start making notes from day 1, making sure you do not miss any lectures and seminars.

Also, you should choose to study in Cardiff! Cardiff University is simply amazing and anyone who picks to come here is making the right choice.
