We are proud of our links with China.

Cardiff has been twinned with Xiamen since 1983 and hosts the Confucius Institute, partnered with Xiamen University, to provide Chinese language teaching and strengthen academic ties.

We welcome applications from China at all levels. Students are enrolled in a wide range of undergraduatepostgraduate and English language programmes within the University.

Popular courses for students from China include ArchitectureBusinessComputer Science and Informatics, Engineering, Journalism and Geography and Planning programmes.

Wales is twinned with Chongqing and the University has many collaborative partnerships with the region, as well as others throughout China. Staff from the International Office, including academic staff from different Schools, visit China regularly each year.

Exhibitions and visits

Entry onto our courses will depend on the qualifications you have been awarded in China and your English language ability.
