Included are requests to release individuals from military service, correspondence and an appeal for the recruitment of female students to assist with the 1917 summer flax harvest, and correspondence on raising funds and books for British prisoners of war.

Cardiff University Students’ Union War Memorial. Cardiff University Institutional Archives (UCC). Papers and photographs concerning the establishment of the Students’ Union as a memorial to the students killed in the First World War. Included are a photograph of the original Students’ Union Building, 1933 (UCC/Misc/P/24), a photograph of officers of the Student Union, 1933 (Ucc/Misc/P/28), papers and correspondence concerning the Students’ Union & War Memorial Committee, 1927/28 (UCC/R/F/28), the 1928 Students’ Union constitution (UCC/R/F/29), the War Memorial Fund, Students’ Union, 51 Park Place, 1920 (UCC/R/F/127), and the War Memorial committee and appeal, 1919 (UCC/R/F/14).
