Ce cours est d'un niveau avancé qui s'adresse aux étudiants qui souhaitent perfectionner leur connaissance de la langue, de la société et de la culture française.
Organisé afin de pratiquer tous les aspects de la langue (Oral, Ecrit, Audio), ce cours inclura de nombreuses conversations en classe, animé de débats sur des thèmes actuels de société, arts, patrimoine, histoire, musique, culture, sciences et techniques: tous les sujets sont abordés et analysés
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for students with advanced French language skills (A-level or equivalent) who are able to hold general conversations in French.
Teaching is conducted entirely in French, providing an immersive environment that helps you develop your fluency, confidence and accuracy.
Learning and teaching
The course places a strong emphasis on active participation.
You will work in small, supportive and low-pressure groups, where you will be encouraged to communicate in French from the very beginning.
Classes are interactive and designed to help you develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
Coursework and assessment
To award academic credits, we need evidence of the knowledge and skills you have developed throughout the course.
Some of this evidence must be available for review by external examiners to ensure that consistent academic standards are maintained across all courses and subjects.
There are no formal written examinations. Instead, you will complete the following assessments:
- A 400–450-word essay in French.
- A 5–10 minute presentation delivered in French, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively in the target language.
- A multiple-choice listening assessment to evaluate your listening comprehension skills.
Our approach to assessment is designed to support and enhance your learning rather than simply measure it.
We aim to build your confidence through a variety of engaging assessment methods that are both enjoyable and well-suited to adult learners with busy personal and professional lives.
