Study

We offer an exceptional research environment with world class facilities for all areas of neuroscience.

The breadth and depth of our expertise ranges from the phenotypic analysis of single gene mutations to the characterization of gene-environment interplay in psychiatric and neurological, and from imaging intracellular calcium in single dendritic spines to combined EEG and fMRI during attentional tasks in humans.

PhD opportunities

The Hodge PhD scholarship programme trains and nurtures the brightest young researchers in the skills needed to address the complex problem of brain disorders.

We are currently supporting our first six postgraduate research students. We intend to fund a further seven studentships per year for October intakes in 2024 and 2025.

Applications for 2024/25 are now open. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 7 May.
