The Institutional Strategic Support Fund by the Wellcome Trust has award over £48,000 to Cardiff University’s Medicines Discovery Institute to investigate a new target for a range of diseases.

We apply our expertise in a range of research areas to produce novel medicines, which will ultimately make a difference to the lives of patients across the world.

Our vision is ambitious, aiming to make the Institute a focal point for medicines discovery and innovation within Cardiff University and the wider UK academic community.
