University of Wyoming

On 25 April 2023, Cardiff University signed a new Strategic Partnership Agreement with the University of Wyoming.

Building on a rich history of collaboration, this partnership will enable collaborative research projects, an annual series of seminars, conferences and workshops, staff and PhD student mobility and collaborative education programmes.

Speaking on the new partnership, Professor Colin Riordan, Ex Vice-Chancellor of Cardiff University, said: “Underpinning all our international partnerships is the ambition to address issues of international importance while simultaneously delivering benefits to society and our economy here in Wales.

“Our partnership with Wyoming is our latest commitment to this civic mission and so I look forward to seeing the benefits unfold as our university communities coalesce over the coming years.”

University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming was founded in 1886 and is a nationally recognised land-grant research institution with expert faculty, top-ranked academics and world-class facilities.

It has 12,000 students hailing from all 50 US states and 82 countries worldwide.

We envision projects that expand the scope and impact of our research, that create new opportunities for student and faculty exchange, and that will generate connections between Wales and Wyoming that will benefit both our universities and our broader communities.
