Beijing Normal University

Beijing Normal University

Our strategic partnership agreement with Beijing Normal University, China, signed on 28 November 2019, strengthens our long-standing relationship and extensive collaboration within fields of mutual interest.

As a result of the close alliance between Beijing Normal University and Cardiff University, our collaboration – which now spans all three Colleges at Cardiff– has enabled a rich history of research exchange, student transfer agreements, and both short and long-term teaching activities.

Through the strategic partnership, a dedicated collaboration fund has been established, designed to support staff and students to engage more actively with Beijing Normal University across common areas of research, teaching and education.

Whilst the majority of our research and academic cooperation with Beijing Normal University has been within the following disciplines, any new forms of collaboration which can further strengthen our partnership with Beijing Normal is strongly encouraged across all subject areas:

  • education
  • modern languages
  • brain research
  • earth sciences and physical geography
  • mathematics
  • artificial intelligence and big data
