Mae Banc y Byd (2021) yn diffinio ‘Cyllid Cynaliadwy’ fel “y broses o roi ystyriaeth ddyledus i ystyriaethau amgylcheddol, cymdeithasol a llywodraethu (ESG) wrth wneud penderfyniadau buddsoddi yn y sector ariannol, gan arwain at fuddsoddiadau mwy hirdymor mewn gweithgareddau a phrosiectau economaidd cynaliadwy.”
Mae Grŵp Ymchwil Cyllid Cynaliadwy Caerdydd yn gwahodd ysgolheigion sy’n gweithio ar wahanol feysydd cynaliadwyedd yn ogystal â chyllid ac yn hyrwyddo ymchwil cydweithredol a thrawsnewidiol i bontio’r bwlch rhwng meysydd eang yr astudiaethau hynny. Drwy wneud hynny, mae'r grŵp yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau academaidd sy'n cefnogi ethos 'Gwerth Cyhoeddus' Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd yn uniongyrchol.

Dyddiad y gynhadledd: 25 Hydref 2024
Mae Grŵp Ymchwil Cyllid Cynaliadwy Caerdydd (CSFRG), ar y cyd â’r Ganolfan Arloesedd Cyllid Cynaliadwy (SFiC) ym Mhrifysgol Birmingham, yn falch o gyhoeddi y bydd y Gynhadledd Cyllid Cynaliadwy yn cael ei chynnal ar 25 Hydref 2024 yn Ysgol Busnes Birmingham.
Nod y gynhadledd yw hwyluso trafodaethau helaeth ynghylch ymchwil flaengar ym maes cyllid cynaliadwy, a fydd yn cynnig cipolygon gwerthfawr yn ogystal â thrin a thrafod y cyfleoedd a’r heriau amlochrog sy’n gysylltiedig â datblygu cyllid cynaliadwy.
Rydyn ni’n gwahodd ymchwilwyr, ymarferwyr, a llunwyr polisïau i gyflwyno eu papurau ymchwil ac astudiaethau achos gwreiddiol sy'n cyfrannu at faes Cyllid Cynaliadwy. Mae hyn yn cynnwys ond heb fod yn gyfyngedig i:

Omrane Guedhami yw Athro C. Russell Hill ac Athro Cyllid Rhyngwladol yn Ysgol Busnes Darla Moore ym Mhrifysgol De Carolina. Mae diddordebau ymchwil Dr Guedhami yn rhyngwladol ac yn cwmpasu llywodraethu corfforaethol, ansawdd archwilio, gorfodi treth, cyfalafiaeth y wladwriaeth a phreifateiddio, diwylliant cenedlaethol, a chyfrifoldeb cymdeithasol corfforaethol. Mae wedi cyhoeddi dros 120 o erthyglau a adolygwyd gan gymheiriaid mewn cyfnodolion academaidd blaenllaw (Mae 42 o’i erthyglau wedi’i chyhoeddi mewn cyfnodolion a rhestrwyd yn Rhestr 50 Cyfnodolyn Gorau'r Financial Times).
Mae wedi derbyn nifer o ragoriaethau ymchwil a gwobrau mawreddog, gan gynnwys Gwobr CASE ar gyfer y Traethawd Hir Gorau ym maes Cyllid Rhyngwladol 2003, Gwobr Moskowitz am Fuddsoddi yn Gymdeithasol Gyfrifol 2011, Gwobr Dyfyniadau Rhagorol Emerald 2015 a Medal Arian Journal of International Business Studies (2019). Yn ddiweddar, cafodd ei enwi ym Mhrif Awdur Journal of Corporate Finance rhwng 1994 a 2018, ac ymhlith yr ysgolheigion gorau ym maes llywodraethu corfforaethol a diwylliant a chyllid.

Cynhaliwyd y Gynhadledd Cyllid Cynaliadwy Ryngwladol gyntaf erioed gan Grŵp Ymchwil Cyllid Cynaliadwy Caerdydd (CSFRG) ddydd Gwener 10 Tachwedd 2023 yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd.
Estynnodd yr Athro Peter Wells, y Rhag-Ddeon ar gyfer Gwerth Cyhoeddus, Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd, ei groeso i’r holl gynadleddwyr a fu’n bresennol yn y gynhadledd. Cafodd wyth papur o ansawdd uchel eu dewis, a chyflwynwyd y rhain gan gynadleddwyr o Brifysgol Ryngwladol San Steffan yn Tashkent, Prifysgol Newcastle, Prifysgol Caerfaddon, a Phrifysgol Caerdydd.
