CCMRC welcomed 36 mid and senior-level leaders from the Cardiff University China Scholarship Council University Management Programme for an afternoon of lab tours and networking.

The leaders from across China, experienced a tour of CCMRC's laboratory facilities before meeting the team, which welcomes China Scholarship Council (CSC) funded students and international fellows. As part of the visit, a brief history of the department's long-standing partnerships and collaboration with Chinese institutions was presented.

As a department, we welcome CSC funded students and fellows to undertake joint cancer research. It was a pleasure to host the CSC commissioned delegation and build new networks with senior leaders and managers from China.

The delegation which includes representatives from distinguished universities across China, including Xiamen University – one of Cardiff’s two global strategic partners, have previously attended presentations and tours across the University on a variety of topics including change management, human resources and developing academic teams.

The programme is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2015 between Cardiff University and the China Scholarship Council, in the presence of China’s Vice Premier, Madame Liu Yandong during her visit in Wales.
