Abstract

I'd like to talk a little about my journey. I graduated from Cardiff University in 1991, and have been very successful in my career in technology. I've worked for startups as well as large enterprises like Reuters, Microsoft, IBM and presently Google.

I'd also like to talk about what I call 'the habits of highly successful developers' and how the product I presently work on, Firebase, is designed to meet those habits so that all developers can take advantage of them.

Given the challenges facing independent developers in particular, the goal is to show where the industry is going and how tech giants like Google are adapting to meet it.
