My research interests include computer graphics, geometric modelling and processing, computer vision, image processing and computer aided geometric design. Specific topics of my recent research include Shape Analysis and Matching, Data Driven Visual Computing, Image Stylisation and Abstraction, etc.

I was conference co-chair of Eurographics Symposium on Geometry Processing (SGP) 2014, Computational Visual Media (CVM) 2016. I am an associate editor of The Visual Computer and programme committee members of a number of major international conferences.

  • Video scene analysis for virtual and augmented reality, Tencent, 12/2017-12/2020, PI.
  • Perceptual shape optimisation for 3D printing. Royal Society, 3/2018-3/2020, PI (with Prof. Charlie Wang, TU Delft, Netherlands).
  • Structural analysis of Stereoscopic 360-degree video for mixed reality. Royal Society, 9/2018-8/2020, PI (with Dr. Fanglue Zhang, Victorial University of Wellington, New Zealand).
