Discovery Project

Our Discovery Project is designed specifically for 14-19 year olds who have autism spectrum conditions.

The project consists of regular mentoring sessions that bring the students together, either on campus or online. In addition to developing key skills to thrive as a university student, they learn about university life through meeting current university students.

The project culminates with a two-day residential summer school focussed on developing key skills to thrive at university, such as living independently, budgeting and working with others.

Discovery Visit Day

We also run Discovery Visit Day, an open day specifically for young people with autism spectrum conditions. During this event, students are given the opportunity to have a tour of the campus and learn about the support available to students studying at Cardiff University.

Podcast: University, Autism and You

Through our podcast, University, Autism and You, outreach staff and current university students offer insights and advice  to help autistic students to prepare for university life.
