Ashley Lister

Ashley is one of Grangetown's local Councillors and is also now Chair of Grangetown Community Action, a registered charity which organises events for the community.

Born and raised in Grangetown Ashley attended Grangetown Nursery, before moving on to Grangetown Primary where he is now Vice-Chair of Governors. Through his role in the Council, he is currently Assistant Cabinet Member for Youth Services, after working as a Youth Worker for eight years across Cardiff in various roles.

After connecting with Cardiff University through Grangetown Community Action meetings Ashley is collaborating as Community Lead to develop the relationships between staff and students at Cardiff University with the residents of Grangetown. He is very proud of the growing relationships which have seen projects such as the Grangetown News, Grangetown Festival, Safety Week and Grange Pavilion blossom.

Ashley's interests include spending time with friends and family, walking, and watching the Cardiff Devils as often as possible
