Take on an active challenge

You don’t have to be a marathon runner to take on an active challenge! Whatever your fitness or ability level, there’s a challenge to suit you.

However you choose to fundraise, you’ll be supporting life-changing neuroscience and mental health, and cancer research at Cardiff University.

Join an event

Wherever you are in the world, there are organised events you can join and fundraise as part of #TeamCardiff. If you’re local to Cardiff, why not check out some of the below events:

If you’re further afield, visit the Active.com website to see what’s on in your area.

Join a virtual event

Can't get to the event but want to join the fun? Some organised events offer a virtual option which means you can take part wherever you may be. Find virtual events.

Set your own challenge

If pre-organised events don’t appeal, you can design your own challenge. Our ‘Choose your Challenge’ campaign lets you fundraise in a way that suits you.  You choose how you want to complete your challenge and what your daily or monthly target is. Whatever your fitness level or ability, ‘Choose your Challenge’ is a great way to start new habits or get back into old routines.

Fancy taking on something a bit bigger? Why not plan a challenge like the Welsh 3 Peaks, hiking Offa’s Dyke, or cycling Land's End to John o' Groats? Whatever you choose, our team is on hand to help you get your challenge off the starting blocks.
