Get involved

You can help us in a number of ways.

Donate samples

We are looking for people to donate samples to the Biobank. You don’t have to be unwell; healthy volunteers are also important in helping us understand the difference between healthy and diseased people.

Volunteer

Committees

The Biobank has a committee that reviews applications for access to samples. Lay, patient, clinical, ethicist and academic members sit on the Scientific Review Committee. If you would be interested in being involved please contact us. We can provide you with further information and let you know if we are currently looking to recruit members for this committee.

Donate funds

Financial donations, whatever the size, will help support the sustainability of the Biobank and keep down the cost of accessing samples. Your donation will be put towards the running of the Biobank to ensure this crucial facility is able to continue to provide biosamples for research projects throughout the world.

I would like to give a donation.

When completing the donation form, please write "Donation for the Cardiff University Biobank" in the comments section.
