Personal careers advice
Cardiff alumni can access tailored careers support, including:
- access to graduate resources and support
- Ask an Adviser in-person and online appointments (Monday to Friday)
- up to four careers appointments
- instant feedback with our CV and cover letter checker tool
During busy periods, such as October and November, access to appointments for graduates may be limited.
To book an appointment:
- register as a graduate on your Student Futures account
- use your student number (without the 'C') and provide up-to-date contact details
- choose an in-person or online option
Events and networking
As a Cardiff graduate, you can also attend:
- careers fairs and employer presentations
- skills workshops and networking events

As an international graduate from Cardiff University, you can access our International Students Employability Advice Pathway, designed to enhance your career prospects in the UK or abroad. This pathway offers 5 tailored online resources covering everything from understanding UK employers’ expectations to job opportunities in your home country.

Work experience support after graduation
The Work Experience team offer a wide range of opportunities which are available for up to three years from your course end date. These range from short unpaid insights of up to two weeks, to longer term paid internships.
Remote and home-working opportunities are currently being offered where available within a range of organisations and industries. A number of our internships are supported by Santander Universities.
Undertaking a work experience opportunity after graduation, will allow you to gain vital skills to add to your CV, explore your career options and build your network.
All work experience opportunities are advertised on the university's Jobs Board.
