ESA Qualitative Methods Research NetworkPresident: Shalva Weil (Israel) 3rd MID-TERM
CONFERENCE Organized in cooperation
with the Research Committee Qualitative methods in Europe are becoming increasingly popular and acceptable in social science. Nevertheless, the state of the art of qualitative methodologies is in flux. Scarce attention has been given to theoretical considerations or breakthroughs in methodology, and innovative methodological techniques have not been discussed in appropriate scientific conventions. The proposed mid-term conference will attempt to gather an international, and specifically European, forum for the discussion of substantive methodological issues. Presentations are thus invited
which report upon new or improved qualitative methodologies and techniques,
which address the credibility, theoretical inventiveness and/or practical
applicability of such research. Papers are welcomed which throw light
upon qualitative research practice, its A report on this conference can be found in the ESA Autumn 2006 Bulletin. To view this bulletin, click here |
